Brain Balance & Mental Clarity

If you are experiencing mood changes, weight gain, fatigue, cognitive or memory impairment, insomnia, or sexual dysfunction, you may have an imbalance in your brain chemistry. Dr. Berger tests patients for chemical balance, and may prescribe treatments such as dietary changes, nutritional supplements, and hormone replacement therapy to correct deficiencies. Please call 310-276-4494 today for more information about brain balance. Your initial consultation is complimentary.

Why is brain balance important?

Each of the four regions, or lobes, of the brain has a primary chemical called a neurotransmitter that is responsible for specific brain functions. Deficient levels of these neurotransmitters can affect motivation, mood, and mental acuity. If ignored, or left untreated, these deficiencies can develop into full-blown medical conditions requiring medical intervention.

The primary brain neurotransmitters are dopamine, acetylcholine, GABA, and serotonin. Because each of the four primary brain chemicals are derived from amino acid or protein precursors, specific nutrients can be obtained from diet and natural supplements to replenish them. The combination of diet, nutritional supplements, and hormone replacement therapy can help to reduce damage/inflammation, repair nerve cells, restore/improve brain function, and prevent future damage.

Rejuvalife Vitality Institute uses a Brain Balance Assessment to determine your primary brain chemistry as well as any deficiencies in the other neurotransmitters. When deficiencies first occur, specific symptoms related to the deficient neurotransmitter can develop. A list of the primary neurotransmitters, the function of each, and some of the characteristic deficiency symptoms are highlighted below.
