Manny Ramirez, suspended for use of HGH

If you’re a fan of Major League Baseball,  you would have to go out of your way to avoid news about baseball players’ or athletes’ use of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). A slew of players have been suspended or penalized after admitting use, and countless others are under suspicion. However, there are legitimate uses for HGH, and when prescribed by a competent physician, HGH can work wonders, which leads to today’s question, from James on Facebook: What is HGH, and what does it do?

Majid, thanks for your question. Most Plans will cover a portion of the services and testing required, depending on your benefit plan, but not the cost of HGH itself. The cost of HGH may range from $350 to $750 per month depending on the dose and the amount. Let me know if you have more questions, I’m happy to help.

      Best, A. Berger
