Ultherapy Treatments For Fine Lines And Wrinkles

ultherapy dr. oz showAs we age our face and neck are among the first areas of our body to show the signs of aging in the form of sagging cheeks and neck, a looser forehead and brow area, a less defined chin and wrinkles near the décolletage. For many decades now, face lifts as options for treating sagging, loose skin have been the most effect means for enjoying a more youthful appearance when Mother Nature is not on our side. However, face lifts have generally required strict health qualifications, time under the knife, a notable risk factor and lengthy recovery time. The traditional face lift methods have often been quite successful, but there are many still who have experienced less than natural looking results and health problems resulting from surgical face lifts that hadn’t turned out as planned.

As a significantly safer alternative to the traditional face lift, Ultherapy is the first FDA-cleared skin lifting procedure that is completely non-invasive and is used to drastically improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while lifting the skin of the face, neck, brow and under the neck to help define the facial structure and create a smoother surface and more radiant skin. Requiring no downtime post-treatment, Ultherapy utilizes advanced ultrasound technology to transform patients’ appearances significantly.

It’s important for patients to realize that Ultherapy is not a replacement for the face lift and can’t produce results as drastic as a face lift might, however, Ultherapy can do a lot for targeting and treating deep layers of skin using ultrasound technology to help encourage the regenerative process while boosting new collagen growth.  Ultherapy is also great when combined with sculptra or juvederm.

Using what’s known as “ultrasound imaging”, Ultherapy allows the practitioner to actually see through the layers of skin tissue and target specific areas during the treatment to make certain the energy is applied in the areas that need it most.

Your physician will evaluate your individual skin circumstances and help you gain realistic expectations for your results. The Ultherapy treatment time will vary patient to patient and will depend on how much skin is being treated and how severe the issue is, however, a typical face and neck procedure is usually about an hour to an hour and a half while a chest treatment is usually no more than half an hour total.

Some patients may notice an improvement shortly following their first treatment, but optimal results are usually seen after a 2-3 month period once new collagen growth has taken place.
