Get Smart About Losing Fat And Try Smartlipo™

Get the body you've always dreamed of…

The term “liposuction” seems pretty self explanatory, but a closer look shows us that not all techniques are created equal. As is the case with most cosmetic procedures, there is never a “one size fits all” solution. We each have our own unique body type, so it only makes sense that our medical procedures be custom tailored to meet our needs. Liposuction is no exception, and when it comes to melting fat, there’s no better option than a laser-assisted (or “Smartlipo™”) technique.

Traditional Liposuction vs. New Techniques

First off, let’s take a second to review traditional liposuction methods. Generally, liposuction requires a surgeon to insert a straw-like- device called a cannula under the skin to break up fat and discard it by suctioning it back out. Most of the time this requires either a large amount of painkillers or general anesthesia, and often results in bruising, swelling, and a lengthy recovery process (not to mention the risk that inherently comes with general anesthesia).

Not only that, but the results of traditional liposuction are often less-than-satisfying due to the nature of the technique. See, fat must be broken up before it can be removed, and let’s be realistic; poking about with a stick or blasting the area with water (the two most common methods) aren’t exactly precise. If the fat is not broken up evenly, it can result in unnatural looking results or a lumpy appearance. That’s where Smartlipo™ comes in.

How Smartlipo™ Works

Smartlipo™ uses a laser to break up fat cells before removing them. There’s a reason for the phrase “laser-like precision”; lasers offer the  most precise and controlled movements available. This allows the doctor to control exactly where and how much fat is removed, resulting in a much more natural look. In addition, the laser also has a cauterizing effect, thus limiting the risk of infection or complications.

Because Smartlipo™ uses a laser to break up fat instead of water or sheer force, the tube, (known as a “cannula”) can be made much smaller than a traditional cannula. This means smaller incisions, less bruising, less recovery time and less risk of complications or scarring. Not to mention that the results look far superior.

Smartlipo™ can be used anywhere on the body, including the face and neck. It’s also a great way to get noticeable results on those stubborn areas that just won’t go away with diet an exercise alone. For more information on laser liposuction in Los Angeles, contact Rejuvalife at 310.856.9173.
